Screenwriters' Festival 2008 - Screenwriters' Festival E-bulletin

GET PAID TO WRITE. WHERE?

"At SWF we often get asked by emerging writers, as well as more established scribes, "who will pay me to write a first draft film screenplay?", which is why we are pleased to bring to your attention to the Met Film School's new scheme below. Do apply, do it now, call Dee on +44 (0) 20 8280 9113 or e-mail to dee@metfilmschool.co.uk and maybe at one of our future Festival's you will be explaining how your career kicked off."

Director

Met Film School

Last call for entries to the Met Film School Skillset Writers Training Scheme

The unique scheme pays participants at competitive rates to develop a first draft feature film script whilst supporting creative and professional development through an intensive bespoke training programme. Writers retain all rights to their work.

The scheme is aimed at writers who have a commissioned or produced credit and/or agency representation.

The initial six months will include 1:1 support from both a script supervisor and a producer and professional support, masterclasses, readings, workshops, and industry placements designed to familiarize writers with working practice across the value chain of cinema from production to exploitation.

The deadline is 17:00pm on Monday March 10th 2008. Please go to www.metfilmschool.co.uk/wts.aspx for details.
